Our client is one of the leading providers of overnight delivery serving the UK / IRELAND / UK market. Their freight hubs are strategically located both in the UK and Ireland to provide express road freight next day delivery with 3 depots in England and 1 large site in Dublin, IrelandAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a TRANSPORT PLANNER working within the rapidly expanding Irish Distribution company based in WARRINGTONWe are looking for a proactive and driven Transport Planner who is eager to go beyond the basics and play a key role in our wider operations. If you're someone who wants to build a long-term career rather than just do the minimum, we want to hear from you.Key Responsibilities :- Take ownership of route efficiency, leading reviews and ensuring compliance to optimise van/LGV schedules and 3PL usage- Plan and coordinate daily transport routes to ensure smooth operations- Maximise efficiency and cost-effectiveness across all vehicle movements- Communicate clearly with drivers and internal teams to ensure seamless delivery execution- Monitor deliveries in real-time and resolve issues quickly and effectively- Proactively reduce missed time slots and late deliveries- Support warehouse and operational activities when required- Assist other departments during peak periods- Participate in cross-training to develop a broad understanding of the businessSkills & Experience- Previous transport planning experience is essential- Strong geographical awareness is an advantage- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills- Confident communicator with the ability to work across teams- Ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities- Self-motivated with the ability to use initiative- Positive attitude with a genuine desire to learn, grow, and developWhat We Offer :- Competitive salary of £30,000 - £32,000- Quarterly bonus scheme (after successful completion of 6-month probation)- 20 days holiday + 8 bank holidays- Additional 2 days holiday after probation- Ongoing training and development opportunities- A supportive environment within a growing company where you can progress your careerWho This Role SuitsThis role is ideal for someone who is:- Ambitious and looking to grow within a business- Willing to get involved beyond their core responsibilities- Proactive, hands-on, and solution-focused- Ready to take ownership and make a real impactIf you're looking for more than just a job and want to be part of a company where you can develop and progress, we'd love to hear from you.JBRP1_UKTJ
