Test Assistant - SkelmersdalePeople Solutions are currently recruiting for a Test Assistant to join our well-established client based in Skelmersdale on a full-time basis.The successful applicant will be testing modular units, and this is a fantastic opportunity offering great benefits and genuine opportunities for career progression.This position would suit applicants who have worked in a previous role as a Test Operative, Test Support Technician or Production Test Assistant.Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday: 8am – 4.15pmFriday: 8am – 3.15pm Rates of Pay: £13.61 per hour Benefits: Your benefits as a Test Assistant will be: Early finish on Fridays (3.15pm)Supportive team environmentOn-site parking Day-to-day duties:As a Test Assistant, you will support with the day-to-day testing of modular units, and your duties will include (but will not be limited to): Ensure strict compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with reference to Health and Safety (H&S) and qualityOperate equipment and machinery in a safe manner whilst always adhering to health and safety legislationPerform a range of activities associated with the completion and inspection of the projectRespond effectively to fluctuations in the planned and amended test scheduleEnsure housekeeping in the work areas is maintained to the highest standardsParticipate in developing product testing activities, for example working practices, equipment specifications, and improvements in productivity and qualityDrive continuous improvementAlways look after the Company's interestsMaintain strict confidentiality on all matters relating to company businessReport all work concisely, accurately, and regularlyMaintain accurate recordsConduct other tasks as required in connection with the Company's businessEnsure that all activities undertaken are conducted in a safe manner and in accordance with the Company's legislative procedures, always including adherence to safety principlesReduce waste, conserve energy, and ensure that all waste materials are disposed of in accordance with Company and legislative proceduresDemonstrate economy and efficiency in all areasAdhere to Company policies and standard operating procedures Essential skills:To be successful as a Test Assistant, you will need: Strong teamwork and interpersonal skillsAbility to deliver a high standard of customer service both internally and externallyExcellent attention to detailProven track record within a fast-paced, demanding manufacturing environmentInvolvement in change initiatives and projects with a view to continual improvementEngineering knowledge/background Desired but not essential: Engineering qualification Your working environment will require: Frequent use of Personal Protective Equipment (ear plugs, safety glasses, safety boots) in designated areasFactory-based operationsOff-site workingAppropriate training as and when required Training: Industry related training provided and ongoing support throughout Contact:If you are ready to take on this exciting opportunity as a Test Assistant, apply today by clicking the link below or contact our recruitment team to find out more.People Solutions do not charge candidates any fees or request deposits at any stage of the recruitment processJBRP1_UKTJ
