About the Role
As a Test Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of our customer communication applications. From test case creation and data analysis to validating complex output and reporting bugs, you will help to ensure that we consistently deliver first-class solutions that meet our clients’ exacting standards. Working closely with the Test Manager and wider project team, you’ll ensure testing is delivered on time, to the highest quality standards, and in line with business and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and understand functional/technical specifications to create robust test cases.
- Extract, process, and validate test data across multiple systems to ensure full coverage of application scenarios.
- Analyse and report failures or bugs identified during application processing.
- Validate AFP/PDF outputs against defined document specifications.
- Perform comparative checking of output files, system updates, and MI statistics.
- Collaborate with Operational teams to ensure test jobs are printed and quality assured.
- Ensure email output aligns with template and delivery expectations.
- Track and manage defects, from identification through to reprocessing and closure.
- Support project teams with test data execution, tracking, and documentation.
- Contribute to test strategy, approach, and execution reporting.
- Raise testing risks and status updates with the Test Manager in a timely manner.
- Provide expert QA advice and solutions to internal teams and clients.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement.
Skills & Experience Required
- 3+ years of experience in a QA or software testing role.
- Knowledge of Quadient Suite: Scaler, Interactive, Automation, and Designer would be advantageous
- Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman); proficient in working with XML and JSON.
- Experience with web-based applications and email engines such as Mailjet.
- Familiarity with email delivery platforms, transactional communications, and document composition.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with working knowledge of SDLC and defect management tools.
- ISTQB Certified Tester (desirable) or strong understanding of testing best practices.
- Experience using JIRA, Azure DevOps (ADO), or similar defect tracking tools.
- Previous experience in a transactional print environment is advantageous.
