Our client, a global media business, is looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join their team for a 12-month fixed-term contract, with a potential extension. This role combines core controllership responsibilities with ownership of overhead forecasting and budgeting. The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with relevant industry experience, able to quickly jump into a dynamic, hands-on role. Starting ASAP.
Description The responsibilities of the Temporary Finance Manager include, but are not limited to: Oversee the forecasting and financial management of overhead costs. Provide support for monthly pacing submissions and monitor budgeted figures against actual performance across multiple entities. Prepare analytical reports and share clear, actionable insights with senior stakeholders to inform business decisions. Oversee the preparation and posting of quarterly tax provision estimates. Partner with the tax function to reconcile tax-related accounts and support compliance. Lead quarterly business review meetings with key stakeholders throughout the organisation. Develop, maintain, and oversee financial models, while leading critical aspects of the monthly and quarterly close processes, including payroll and accruals. Manage and lead statutory audits for multiple entities, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP statutory reporting requirements. Enhance financial model integration by automating workflows and improving efficiency.
Skills The skills of the Temporary Financial Manager include, but are not limited to: Qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent) from Big 4 with at least 2-3 years' post-qualified experience. Experience working with SAP is desirable. Experience working in media is desirable. Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail. Ability to work in a dynamic, evolving environment.
