We are seeking a proactive and organised Accounts Payable Assistant to join a leading global law firm on a temporary basis for up to one year. This role supports the smooth running of the Accounts Payable function, ensuring accurate processing, timely payments, and excellent internal and external service delivery.

\n\n

 

\n\n

You will work closely with colleagues across finance, legal teams, and international offices, contributing to the firms financial accuracy and operational efficiency.

\n\n

 

\n\n

 

\n\n

\nKey Responsibilities
\n
\nProcess invoices and employee expenses, ensuring correct coding, VAT/tax compliance, and adherence to firm policiesRespond to internal and external AP queries, providing efficient and professional supportAssist with regular payment runs, including preparing supporting documentation for approvalEnter invoices into the finance system and process manual cheque or bank transfer requestsLiaise with high volume suppliers and support e-invoicing workflowsResolve invoice discrepancies by communicating with internal teamsMaintain accurate vendor records, including new supplier setup and verification checksSupport the billing team with unposted disbursements to ensure timely client billingEnsure expenses and invoices are accurately reflected in the general ledger

\nQualifications & Skills
\n
\nExperience in an Accounts Payable in a law firmFamiliarity with finance system Aderant Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel
