We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Technical Support Scientist to support our department through laboratory testing, investigations, and stability programme activities. The role contributes to the efficient execution of technical tasks, continuous process improvement, and compliance with departmental and regulatory standards. Under the guidance of senior team members, you will also support technical enquiries, customer complaints, and product evaluations.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct testing of raw materials, intermediate, and final products to support technical enquiries and customer complaints, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timely delivery.
* Participate in the stability programme, including sample preparation, testing, and accurate documentation in line with Good Documentation Practice (GDP).
* Assist in the review and updating of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure alignment with regulatory and operational requirements.
* Support validation activities and performance evaluations, contributing ideas to improve testing methodologies and product performance.
* Prepare technical reports and documentation in accordance with agreed scientific writing standards.
* Provide input into product field trials and performance evaluations.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the laboratory, identifying opportunities for innovation and process refinement.
* Ensure the correct operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment in line with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), including maintaining accurate equipment logs.
Essential Requirements
* Relevant scientific degree or equivalent qualification.
* Experience with basic laboratory techniques, including blood group serology.
* Practical laboratory experience within a GMP or clinical environment.
* Good understanding of laboratory techniques and commonly used methodologies (e.g. tube technique)
