Technical Services Manager

A growing and design-focused main contractor, delivering high-end commercial fit-outs and refurbishments across Central London, is looking for a Technical Services Manager to oversee MEP coordination across multiple fast-track projects.


With a strong reputation for delivering high-spec CAT A and CAT B schemes for blue-chip clients and landlords, this business offers a collaborative environment and a genuine opportunity to take ownership of building services delivery from pre-construction through to handover.


The Role

You will play a key role in managing MEP design, installation, and commissioning across a portfolio of commercial interiors projects, typically valued between £2M and £15M. The role involves working closely with site teams, subcontractors, design consultants, and end clients.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the MEP coordination process across one or more fit-out projects
  • Review and manage technical submissions, drawings, and commissioning plans
  • Represent MEP interests in client and consultant meetings
  • Collaborate with site managers and project leads to align build programme and services delivery
  • Drive quality, compliance, and programme control across all building services
  • Support procurement and tender reviews for M&E subcontract packages
  • Manage testing, commissioning, and handover documentation to required standards


About You

  • Background in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (Degree, HND or equivalent)
  • Experience managing MEP works on commercial office fit-outs or refurbishments
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical distribution, public health, fire alarm, and BMS systems
  • Familiar with fast-track programme delivery and coordination in central London environments
  • Confident communicator who can liaise across teams and maintain technical standards
  • Able to work between live sites in London and the head office in Essex when required
