Overview

A leading workplace and technical fit‑out contractor is seeking a Technical Services Manager to support its specialist laboratory division. The business delivers high‑spec lab environments across the UK, including R&D, life sciences, pharmaceutical and controlled environments. Projects involve complex MEP, specialist lab systems, compliance and high‑performance technical delivery.

The Role

Lead all MEP and technical services on laboratory fit‑out projects.

Oversee design coordination, installation, safety and compliance.

Manage specialist services: ventilation, gases, pressure systems, containment, HVAC and lab‑specific infrastructure.

Work closely with designers, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure seamless project delivery.

Drive commissioning, testing and handover of all technical systems.

Ensure full regulatory compliance (e.g. safety standards, British Standards, COSHH‑related environments).

Requirements

Experience as a TSM, MEP Manager or Building Services Engineer within construction or fit‑out.

Strong technical knowledge of laboratory MEP systems and compliance.

Ability to interpret technical drawings and solve design challenges.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
