About the Job
The primary goal of a Technical Project Manager is to plan, coordinate, and oversee the successful delivery of projects from initiation to completion. This involves defining scope, timelines, deliverables; managing resources and budgets; mitigating risks; and ensuring effective communication across stakeholders.
The role bridges technical teams and business objectives, ensuring solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards, while fostering collaboration, removing obstacles, and driving continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Oversee Project Execution: Monitor progress, manage dependencies, and adjust plans proactively.
Manage Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular updates on status, risks, and changes.
Establish Project Scope: Collaborate with stakeholders to define objectives, deliverables, timelines, and success criteria.
Mitigate Risks and Resolve Issues: Identify risks early, develop mitigation strategies, and resolve blockers.
Coordinate Cross‑Functional Teams: Facilitate collaboration between development, QA, product, and business people.
People Management and Team Development: Conduct 1‑1s, coach team members, track performance, support career growth, and participate in recruitment and onboarding.
Drive Continuous Improvement: Gather feedback after project completion and implement lessons learned.
Control Budgets and Costs: Track expenditures and ensure the project stays within budget.
Mandatory
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Experience:
+5 years of proven experience managing software development projects.
+5 years of recent experience in software development.
Technical Knowledge:
Proficiency in one or more programming/scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Java, C#).
Strong understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD, and modern software delivery pipelines.
Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Experience with development tools (e.g., Git, Asana, Confluence, Slack).
Understanding of various testing approaches, test automation, performance testing and security testing.
Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
Project Management Skills:
Deliver results in fast‑paced, high‑growth environments, balancing agility with quality.
Exceptional organizational skills.
Strong proficiency in planning, scheduling, resource allocation and stakeholder management.
Ability to set performance expectations, monitor progress, provide constructive feedback, and evaluate performance.
Strong risk mitigation skills.
Proven ability to lead multiple projects concurrently.
Experience leading distributed/global teams.
Soft Skills:

Language: Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
Preferred
Certifications:
PMP (Project Management Professional), PRINCE2, or equivalent.

Knowledge of SQL, NoSQL database systems.
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or similar technologies.
Experience with API design and integration.
Understanding of quality control and assurance processes.
Ability to contribute to system architecture discussions.
Experience leading code reviews.
Experience identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks.
Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
Project Management Skills:
Experience managing budgets.
