Job Description
Blue Arrow are currently working with a University within the Newcastle area for a Technical Compliance Manager, working within their Estates and Facilities department. \n\nRole: Technical Compliance Manager\n\nLocation: Newcastle Upon Tyne\n\nSalary: £47k - £58k DOE (yearly salary and grading reviews)\n\nHours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm (this role will site based) - flexibility required\n\nContract: Permanent \n\nRole Overview\n\nOversee and ensure full compliance across the campus, managing policies, procedures, and providing expert technical support across a diverse range of activities within their area of expertise.\n\nKey Essentials\n\nKnowledge of building construction, building standards, compliance obligations, planning regulations, regulatory standards, and building services legislation\nKnowledge of CDM (Construction Design Management) Regulations and other related housing regulations/legislation and how they apply within the context of statutory compliance\nDemonstrable knowledge of fire safety compliance, estates safety and fall arrest implications for planned works on commercial property installations plus appropriate safety procedures and certification requirements\nUnderstanding of Statutory Compliance obligations, particularly regarding asbestos, electrical, fire, gas, mechanical and water safety.\nKnowledge of the monitoring, reporting and presentation of management reports in relation to contract performanceEducation / Training \n\nDegree Educated, HND or HNC or equivalent, preferably in a discipline relevant to the role, and/ or provenl support across a diverse range of activities within their area of expertise.relevant professional experience\n\nIOSH/NEBOSH Health and SafetyBlue Arrow is proud to be a Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people
