World Class Defence Organisation is currently looking to recruit a Technical Author subcontractor on an initial 12 month contract. The role will be predominately working remotely from home.

Rate: £43.00 per hour Overtime Rate: Hours worked over the standard 37 hours per week, will be paid at time and a quarter Location: Stevenage Hybrid / Remote working: The role will be 2 or 4 days per month in the office and the rest remote. (some flexibility on this may be needed). Duration: 12 Months with very likely extension. Contracts are often ongoing and long-term thereafter. IR35 status: Inside IR35 (Umbrella) Interview process: 2 Stage interview process. Initial Virtual or onsite 2hrs. Author Test & meet the team - onsite for successful candidates.

Technical Author Job Description: To write technical documentation in Standard Generalised Mark-up Language (SGML), Extensible Mark-up Language (XML) and traditional formats for the Company's products in accordance with individual contractual requirements To enable safe and effective operation and repair of the equipment.
