Contract Details: Temporary until 31st December 2026 Responsibilities
Enhance and define our Environment and VFX workflows, tooling, and shaders. Develop creative solutions for polished and performant VR visuals. Identify and implement a wide range of Unity and standalone tools to suit each task. Contribute to our hand‑written HLSL über-shaders, ensuring they are clean, optimised, and efficient. Create visual effects for Gameplay and UI, supporting teammates in similar tasks. Troubleshoot and resolve technical, visual, and performance issues.
Minimum Qualifications
Extensive experience in creating 3D & 2D assets. In‑depth knowledge of rendering pipelines. Expertise in mobile/VR optimisations. Extensive experience with the Unity toolset, including Animations, Timelines, Particle Systems, VFX Graph, Nested Prefabs, and Material Property Blocks. Experience in a Technical Artist role. Proven ability to create technical 3D and 2D assets using procedural DCC tools (e.g., baking arbitrary data into textures and mesh properties). Deep knowledge of Forward & Built‑in rendering pipelines, as well as mobile/VR optimisations. Experience using hand‑written shaders to craft unique visuals. Familiarity with additional game development tools and technologies.
