The Role As a Technical Architect, you will design and oversee the delivery of secure, scalable, and cost‑effective cloud architectures for enterprise platforms. You will also serve as the "translation layer" between business requirements and technical design. This role is pivotal in our shift toward Serverless and Containerized environments, requiring a leader who can mentor developers while maintaining high architectural standards. Your Responsibilities
Design and implement modern, event‑driven and serverless architectures aligned to the AWS Well‑Architected Framework. Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to translate complex requirements into clear, actionable architectural designs. Provide technical leadership through design and code reviews, supporting engineers and technical leads. Implement and manage infrastructure using Terraform, supporting CI/CD pipelines via GitHub. Lead the migration of legacy workloads to containerised (EKS/Kubernetes) or serverless environments. Define and enforce security standards including IAM, networking boundaries, observability, and monitoring from the outset. Maintain accurate architectural diagrams, standards, and technical documentation.
Your Profile Essential skills/knowledge/experience
Knowledge of AWS cloud and compute services, including Lambda, EC2, ECS, and Kubernetes / Amazon EKS. Experience with event‑driven and integration services, such as Amazon EventBridge, SQS, SNS, Step Functions, and API Gateway. Knowledge of AWS storage and database technologies, including Amazon S3, DynamoDB, RDS, and AWS Transfer Family. Experience with AWS networking and security concepts, including VPCs, load balancers, IAM, and security groups. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, including GitHub Actions. Strong proficiency in Python, with experience using it for automation and AWS Lambda development. Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation, particularly using Terraform. Experience working within the airlines or aviation sector.
