Role: Technical Advisor Location: Scotland (Hybrid - Edinburgh or Glasgow Office) Contract: Permanent Reporting to: Director Overview We are working with a global construction and cost management consultancy seeking a Technical Advisor to support their portfolio of PFI contracts across Scotland. You will act on behalf of the lenders, providing independent technical oversight of PFI assets within the healthcare and education sectors. The role focuses on monitoring the financial and technical health of PFI contracts, ensuring facilities management providers and SPVs are meeting contractual obligations. You will join a company that has operated successfully in the market for over 20 years and is currently in an exciting growth phase, expanding from a team of 24 to 36 professionals . You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team, working closely with lenders to deliver clear, robust technical reporting that supports informed, long-term investment decisions. Key Responsibilities Acting on behalf of the lender on live PFI projects Monitoring asset condition, service performance, and compliance Assessing lifecycle spend, identifying expenditure Producing lender-focused technical and financial reports Reviewing and consolidating reports from FM providers and SPVs Site visits across Scotland to the PFI contract sites Requirements Chartered professional (RICS or equivalent) Strong knowledge or experience of PFI contracts Experience in healthcare and/or education assets Lifecycle cost planning or lifecycle assessment experience Background in construction, surveying, or the built environment Experience working with or reporting to lenders/funders We are open to a range of levels and backgrounds, including surveyors, associates and directors. Associate Director. Candidates may come from QS, Building Surveying, Architectural, or other construction-related disciplines.
