Academics are currently recruiting a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant to support pupils within a SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) provision in Bromley.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs, helping them to engage with learning and develop positive behaviours.
The Role:
Supporting pupils with SEMH needs on a 1:1 and small group basis
Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management
Providing emotional, behavioural and academic support
Helping pupils develop social skills, self-regulation and confidence
Implementing behaviour support strategies and positive reinforcement
Creating a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment
The Ideal Candidate:
Experience working with SEMH, behaviour needs, autism, or trauma-informed settings (desirable)
A calm, patient and empathetic approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Resilient, proactive and adaptable
A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners
Graduates or individuals with backgrounds in psychology, youth work, social care or education are encouraged to apply...
