Horizon Teachers is looking for a caring and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a friendly Primary School in Lewisham to work within their Year 4 class.
As a Teaching Assistant you will be working closely with a child in their Year 4 class that has Special Educational Needs and requires support within lessons. You will be required to work with them on a 1:1 basis to assist the class teacher in managing their behaviour and keeping them engaged in lessons and class activities.

This is a long-term Teaching Assistant role until the end of the school year, starting in January 2026 until July on a full-time basis – with the potential to continue in this position in the next academic year.
The ideal candidate will:
Have experience working with children with SEND as a Teaching Assistant. Be patient, caring, and committed to helping children reach their potential. Be able to support learning both 1:1 and in small groups. Have experience supporting children with challenging behaviour. Have good communication and teamwork skills. Be reliable, enthusiastic, and positive in their approach.
