Are you caring, patient and dedicated to helping pupils with special educational needs flourish?
We are seeking a Teaching Assistant to join a specialist provision supporting children & young people aged 5-19, that have an Education, Health & Care Plan (EHCP) and a primary diagnosis of autism spectrum condition (ASC) or associated traits.
Youll be working in small class groups to make a big difference to the childrens education and development.
This role is to start ASAP, and run on a full-time basis until July 2026, with potential to continue at the school in the next academic year.
What the role involves Working 1:1 and with small groups of pupils (max class sizes approx. six), supporting their learning according to individual needs. Supporting with behaviour management, ensuring safe, calm and inclusive classroom environment. Auditing, recording & monitoring pupil progress and liaising with the SENCO / Phase Leaders. Helping with personal care, sensory regulation, transitions, and communication aids as needed. Assisting in creating a positive, structured environment for pupils to develop independence, confidence and skills.
