General Classroom Teaching Assistant\n\nAre you passionate about making a positive difference in a child's education? Do you have the empathy, patience, and dedication to support vibrant and diverse classrooms across Birmingham?\n \nWe are seeking enthusiastic and committed General Classroom Teaching Assistants to join our network of supportive schools. In this rewarding role, you will work alongside qualified teachers to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment, helping pupils of all abilities thrive.\n \nKey Responsibilities\n\nSupporting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities.\nWorking with individual students and small groups, particularly in literacy and numeracy, to help them overcome barriers to learning.\nAssisting with classroom management, promoting positive behaviour and a safe, focused atmosphere.\nPreparing learning materials, setting up classrooms, and creating displays of children's work.\nMonitoring and recording pupils' progress, providing detailed feedback to teachers.\nOffering support during school outings, sports events, and potentially break/lunchtime duties.The ideal candidate will have:\n\nExperience of working with children in a school or similar setting (paid or voluntary).\nStrong literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE grades 9 to 4 (A* to C) in English and Maths are usually required).\nRelevant qualifications such as an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (desirable, but not always essential for entry-level).\nExcellent communication skills and the ability to build strong, positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.\nA patient, flexible, and resilient approach to the demands of a busy school environment.\nA commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.Please note: A current Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is a requirement for this role.\n\nIf you are a dedicated individual ready to contribute to a thriving educational community, we want to hear from you
