Teaching Assistant (Sports Background) – Basingstoke | Full-Time | Term-Time Role

Basingstoke & surrounding areas | Paid to scale based on experience | 8:30am – 3:30pm | 5 days per week

Are you passionate about sport, physical activity, and helping children thrive in education? GSL Education are seeking a motivated Teaching Assistant with a Sports background to work across supportive schools in and around Basingstoke.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone energetic, proactive, and enthusiastic about supporting learning through PE, outdoor learning, and Forest School activities.

The Role As a Sports-focused Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support pupils in the classroom, PE sessions, and outdoor learning Assist teachers in delivering engaging and active learning experiences Promote physical activity, confidence, and teamwork Support pupils with additional needs where required Help implement behaviour strategies and positive interventions Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and parents The Schools We work closely with a large trust across Basingstoke and surrounding Hampshire areas, supporting a range of primary and specialist provisions.
