A welcoming and well-established ASD specialist school in Stonehouse is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a structured, nurturing environment supporting pupils with additional needs. You will be working closely with teaching staff to support pupils with a variety of special educational needs, including ASD, moderate to severe learning difficulties, and communication needs. The role focuses on building positive relationships, supporting emotional regulation, and helping pupils access learning through adapted and individualised approaches. Supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis within the classroom * Passionate about supporting children with additional needs * Able to build strong, positive relationships with pupils * Candidates with experience as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant would be highly beneficial, particularly those with a background supporting autism or complex needs. We also welcome applicants from care, youth work, psychology, or wider support work backgrounds, as well as individuals who have experience working within EHCP-led provision, although this is desirable rather than essential.
