Job Overview

Tax Technology & Innovation is a team of over 300 technologists working across KPMG’s Tax and Law business. The team delivers technology enablement services and solutions to more than 2,500 tax and legal professionals and to thousands of clients and private individuals. The focus is on modern, market‑leading solutions that streamline everything from routine to complex tax advice. Generative artificial intelligence will play a significant role in the future of tax, and the team is leading the charge in redefining tax determination across the UK and globally. The Technology Implementation Senior Manager will drive adoption and implementation of KPMG’s compliance technology platform across the UK and EMA. The role leads innovation through automation, analytics, and data‑driven solutions to enable multinational clients to achieve global tax and accounting compliance with greater efficiency, accuracy and control.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, senior leadership and internal stakeholders to understand and align with strategic goals and objectives.
  • Lead sales efforts, including proposal development, client presentations and technology demonstrations to win new engagements and expand client relationships.
  • Lead the end‑to‑end delivery of multiple large‑scale KPMG and third‑party technology solutions for clients, ensuring alignment with complex user requirements and translating them into effective solutions.
  • Manage the implementation of scalable solutions across the UK and EMA, partnering with international leadership teams to ensure consistency, compliance and effective risk mitigation.
  • Ensure delivery excellence and agility, enabling the business to respond swiftly to market demands and bring services to market efficiently and securely.
  • Lead project teams, including offshore resources across TT&I, to build and implement KPMG and third‑party technology solutions.
  • Manage the scope, commercials and prioritisation across your portfolio of work, ensuring the work is managed to a high standard, aligned to financial objectives and prioritised accordingly.
  • Advise clients on best practices to support successful technology adoption and outcomes.
  • Provide direction and mentorship to managers and junior team members, fostering a culture of innovation and professional growth.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements as appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing abilities, with a talent for building and maintaining relationships across all business levels.
  • Proven ability to lead enterprise‑level technology implementations.
  • Ability to prioritise and deliver multiple programmes simultaneously.
  • Experience in business development.
  • Strong leadership experience managing multi‑disciplinary teams in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of Tax and Accounting, preferably with experience in tax or finance compliance.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to dissect complex issues logically.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies, concepts and modern work practices.
  • A keen interest in emerging technologies and their application to solve client challenges.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).

Context

The role is full‑time in Glasgow or London, with some travel required to other locations around the UK.
