Systems Design Engineer

Location: Surrey, UK (Onsite)

Contract: Permanent / Fixed Term

About the role:

Join our innovative team as a Systems Design Engineer, creating electrical and mechanical designs for advanced connectivity solutions. Work with a growing engineering leader delivering mission-critical comms across land, sea, and air environments.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Convert concepts to production-ready CAD packages (ISO standards).
  • Create 2D/3D drawings; contribute to CAD tool selection.
  • Develop designs from outline to final STEP files.
  • Detail electrical enclosures (panels/racks).
  • Produce Visio diagrams, own tasks end-to-end.

Ideal profile:

  • HNC/HND engineering qualification or apprenticeship.
  • EU electrical safety/EMC-LVD compliance knowledge.
  • 5+ years electrical design; high-volume drawings.
  • BS8888:2017/ISO expert; CAD proficient (AutoCAD+).
  • First-principles thinker; manufacturing/enclosures savvy; SC clearance eligible.
