Role - Support worker - Learning Disabilities and Autism Respite service Hours - 3pm - 8pm Monday to Friday ( 25 hours per week) Please note we cannot accommodate those on 20 hour visa's for this position Additional - please note we are not offering sponsorship or change of sponsorship for this role and cannot accept those with visa restrictions Company Overview Burrow Down Support Services is dedicated to providing exceptional support for individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs in Paignton and surrounding areas. About the service: Short Breaks is a 6 bed respite service providing person centred care to adults with Learning Disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorder. We support individuals during their stay with all aspects of daily living including personal care, medication, and outings. Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to join our team at Burrow Down Support Services. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals with learning disabilities, ensuring their well-being and enhancing their quality of life through personalized care. Responsibilities Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal care and meal preparation. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor health conditions. Provide emotional support and companionship to clients. Implement behaviour management strategies to promote positive interactions. Assist with mobility and physical activities, including heavy lifting when necessary. Maintain accurate records of client progress and care plans. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive approach to care.
