Support Worker\n Location: Exeter\n Rate: £15.66 per hour\n Contract: Temporary – ongoing\nWe are currently working with a well-established housing and support provider who is looking to appoint a Support Worker on a temporary ongoing basis in Exeter.\nThis is a frontline role supporting vulnerable customers within supported accommodation and/or through visiting support in the community. The post holder will play a key role in promoting independence, safeguarding, and positive outcomes for service users.\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nDeliver high-quality, person-centred support to customers in line with individual support and safety plans\nSupport customers with housing and tenancy-related issues, including ASB, welfare benefits, budgeting and financial inclusion\nIdentify, manage and escalate safeguarding concerns in line with policy and procedure\nWork collaboratively with external agencies and professionals to support customer journeys\nMaintain accurate and up-to-date records using relevant case management and housing systems\nCarry out risk assessments, lone working, and health & safety checks\nSupport customers with practical and emotional needs, including access to education, employment and community engagement\nContribute to a safe, inclusive, and respectful service environmentRequirements:\n\nExperience or a strong understanding of working with people with support needs\nKnowledge of supported housing, safeguarding, welfare benefits and person-centred support\nAbility to manage risk, work independently, and prioritise a varied caseload\nConfident IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel\nStrong communication, organisation and report-writing skills\nWillingness to work flexibly and as part of a multi-disciplinary teamExperience working with customer groups such as young people, individuals with mental health needs, substance misuse, domestic abuse, or those at risk of homelessness would be advantageous.\nIf you are interested or would like to discuss the role in more detail, please get in touch.\nGeorge Westhead\n (url removed)\n (phone number removed)
