About the Role
We are looking for a compassionate and motivated
Support Worker
to join our Supported Accommodation service for young people. You will play a key role in helping young people develop independence, life skills, and confidence, while ensuring they feel safe, listened to, and supported. You will work as part of a flexible and creative team, building trusting relationships and delivering high-quality, trauma-informed support. This role includes
key worker responsibilities , where you will coordinate and personalise support to help young people achieve positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Provide nurturing, trauma-informed support that meets the individual needs, wishes, and aspirations of young people
Act as a positive role model, maintaining high standards and a safe, supportive environment
Deliver regular key work sessions focused on developing independence and life skills
Support young people with education, employment, training, leisure activities, finances, and benefit claims
Work closely with social workers, personal advisors, and other professionals to support positive outcomes
Safeguard young people and follow all relevant policies, procedures, and Ofsted regulations
Maintain accurate, timely, and person-centred records using electronic systems
Support young people to plan and prepare for their move-on to independent living
What Were Looking For
A warm, calm, and non-judgemental approach
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to work confidently both independently and as part of a team
Strong organisational and record-keeping skills
Good IT skills and willingness to learn new systems
A genuine commitment to trauma-informed and psychologically informed practice
Ability to remain calm and solution-focused under pressure
