Flexible SEN Supply Teaching Assistant - Dunstable

Our Berkhamsted team is currently recruiting Supply SEN Teaching Assistant to support a range of schools in the Dunstable area. We work closely with several Primary, Secondary, and Specialist SEN schools who require flexible, reliable support staff for day-to-day, short-term, and long-term assignments.

This is a fantastic opportunity in the education and training sector for individuals who are passionate about supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and who are looking for flexible work within the education sector.

As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils with a variety of additional needs while helping to create a positive, inclusive learning environment. You will work alongside teachers and school staff to ensure pupils receive the support they need to thrive both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities of a Supply Teaching Assistant

• Supporting teachers in delivering engaging lessons and learning activities
• Working with individual pupils or small groups to support learning and development
• Providing targeted support for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
• Assisting with behaviour management and maintaining a safe learning environment
• Encouraging pupils' social, emotional, and communication development
• Preparing classroom resources and supporting general classroom duties
• Providing feedback to teachers regarding pupil progress and engagement
• Responsibilities may vary depending on the school and assignment.

We Are Looking For Candidates Who:

• Have experience working with children or young people (school experience desirable but not essential)
• Have an interest in SEN, child development, or education
• Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Are adaptable, proactive, and enthusiastic
• Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Are reliable, flexible, and able to commute to Dunstable
• Experience in Primary, Secondary, or specialist SEN settings would be highly beneficial but is not essential. xbpsjku
