The Opportunity

To continue developing an effective and efficient, customer-driven supply chain across Dechra to support our growth agenda. The role involves planning, implementing, and monitoring supply planning to maximize efficiency and productivity. Responsible for the successful operation of the IBP (Integrated Business Planning) process and major supply planning projects, such as the implementation and development of the company planning/ERP Planning module. Acts as a focal point for supply planning relationships with country organizations, internal manufacturing sites, external suppliers, warehousing (both internal and 3PL), and distribution partners.

So, what will you be doing?

This role has a broad scope, and responsibilities include:

• Managing global third-party suppliers of finished products, both where Dechra owns the Marketing Authorization and for licensing arrangements.
• Supporting supply contract adherence, negotiations, supplier audits (with the quality team), and establishing measurement systems to ensure effective supply relationships.
• Tracking stock levels daily to pre-empt and manage potential issues.
• Liaising with Commercial and Manufacturing teams on demand and availability issues.
• Devising and managing inventory strategies for existing items, new products, and product phase-outs.
• Executing Dechra's supply chain strategy, leveraging in-depth knowledge of supply chain requirements linked to delivery capabilities internally and externally.
• Developing the IBP process to fully integrate operations and new business entities, including product discontinuation.
• Reporting on key supply chain KPIs.
• Line management of enterprise and supply planners for CMO's and internal sites.
• Providing mentorship and promoting best practices within the planning teams.
• Facilitating customs documentation and inbound shipments to CMO's and warehouses.
• Building relationships across multiple sites and cultures, empowering teams, and balancing strategic and practical approaches.
• Demonstrating strong commercial understanding and experience in improving customer service, managing costs, and efficiency.

This role is based in Northwich / hybrid work model.
