The Supply Chain Manufacturing Engineer (ME) role reports to Manufacturing and

The Supply Chain ME role scope could cover any of the components within RotoDynamic Heater (RDH) and Roto Dynamic Reactor (RDR) turbomachinery-based products,
including component supply, sub-assembly manufacture and final product assembly and testing.
The specific Supply Chain ME accountabilities will be determined by the experience of the
successful candidate, with the candidate supporting one (or more, depending on workload) components, with the accountabilities to be matched to business needs. Therefore, an ideal candidate would have a rounded experience of working on the manufacture of one or more commodities such as Rotors, Casings, Aerofoils, Fabrications or Assembly of Turbomachinery.
As a result of the novel product development, there will be a heavy emphasis on:
New Product Introduction
supporting designers with manufacturing knowledge for new
designs
tolerancing, geometry, potential suppliers, costs, etc., including managing the overall programme timescales.
Sourcing & Supply Chain design
technical sourcing of the parts with suppliers, looking at
supplier capability and capacity to make at rate and supply chain design as volume moves from low to high volume.
Capability Acquisition
understanding design requirements for new manufacturing
techniques, considering where and how to mature this technology and then to managing this to cost and schedule.
Quality Planning
ensuring that the principles of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
are in place.
Production support
once in manufacture, problem solving issues through to delivery of
parts with appropriate conformance documentation in place.
It is essential that the successful candidate can build strong working relationships with cross
functional teams to align the manufacturing and manufacturing engineering activities with broader organisational goals and communicate effectively with all key stakeholders.
What Youll Bring
Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or suitable industry experience.
Minimum of 2 years in manufacturing engineering or relevant discipline.
Experience in developing and implementing manufacturing processes from new products through to
ongoing production.
Strong technical knowledge, including experience of turbomachinery, its manufacture and assembly.
An ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive improvements and resolve manufacturing
& product issues.
Oversee the design and implementation of manufacturing systems, equipment, and facilities, ensuring
safety and regulatory compliance.
Strong problem solver with a proven ability to analyse complex issues, identify root causes, and
implement effective solutions.
Happy to be flexible and willing to work on a variety of tasks, sometimes outside the natural lane of
a Manufacturing Engineer.
Personal attributes
A credible, trustworthy and experienced manufacturing and manufacturing engineering leader.
A self-starter, well-connected and somebody who can think on their feet.
Highly motivated, resilient, assertive and process / data driven.
Effective communication skills.
