Structural Engineer – London Location: London Salary: £40,000 - £46,000 excellent benefits A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join the consultancy’s growing London office. This role will suit an ambitious engineer looking to take the technical lead on a variety of structural projects, working across multiple sectors for both public and private clients. The successful candidate will also play a key role in supporting junior team members and shaping the office’s structural capability. Key Responsibilities Act as technical lead on structural engineering projects, ensuring quality, compliance, and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle. Manage and coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams and external stakeholders to deliver integrated and innovative solutions. Undertake structural assessments and inspections of new and existing buildings in steel, concrete, masonry, and timber. Carry out structural analysis and design using industry software such as Tekla Structural Designer and Fastrak Building Designer. Prepare high-quality technical reports, including structural surveys and condition assessments. Oversee the delivery of design outputs including calculations, specifications, and construction drawings. Mentor junior engineers, fostering technical development and knowledge sharing across the team. About You Essential: Degree-qualified in Structural or Civil Engineering (BEng/MEng or equivalent). Proven experience delivering structural designs across a variety of building types and construction methods. Strong working knowledge of Eurocodes, British Standards, and relevant building regulations. Proficient in structural analysis and design software. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Capable of managing multiple projects and working to deadlines
