Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for a SR163 Site Manager on a 6 Month Contract, based in London
Role Summary
As the SR163 Site Manager is responsible for overseeing all Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) activities within the designated section of works on the project. The role requires a strong M&E background with a clear understanding of civil interface coordination within a major infrastructure environment.
The Site Manager will ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and in compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Health, Safety & Environment
* Lead by example in promoting a strong safety culture aligned with project and client standards.
* Ensure full compliance with CDM Regulations and project HSE policies.
* Review and approve RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements).
Project Delivery
* Manage day-to-day M&E installation activities for SR163 section.
* Coordinate with civil teams to ensure seamless interface management.
* Oversee installation of:
* Cable containment systems
* HV/LV cable installations
* Earthing & bonding systems
* Ventilation systems (if applicable)
* Temporary power and lighting
* Ensure works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications, and ITPs.
Quality Assurance
* Ensure compliance with Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
* Coordinate testing and commissioning activities.
Commercial & Reporting
* Provide input into progress reporting and programme updates.
* Support change management and early warning processes.
Stakeholder Coordination
* Liaise with:
* Project Engineers
* Design Teams
* Client Representatives
* Utilities and statutory authorities
* Attend coordination meetings and provide technical input
Requirements
* Proven experience as an M&E Site Manager on major infrastructure projects.
* Strong knowledge of HV/LV installations and power distribution systems.
* Experience working within tunnels, substations, or utility infrastructure.
* SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme).
* CSCS Black Card (Management level).
* First Aid at Work certification.
* Strong understanding of CDM Regulations.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
