Lead Finance Business Partner for UK & Europe Trade supporting all channel heads, with a specific focus on the Head of Merchandising. Develop transparency to enable Retail, Outlet & Ecommerce channels to deliver profitable growth. Responsible for understanding regional pricing structures and commercial strategies. Finance owner for forecasting, budgeting, strategic planning, and financial reviews, as well as ad hoc analytical support.
What You'll Be Doing
- Deliver annual forecasting and budgeting processes, focusing on NTO, GM, and pairs. Engage leadership teams to ensure understanding of performance against financial plans and targets.
- Provide complete performance visibility, including Footfall and Conversion, and drive trading activity.
- Lead in business case development for store openings, closures, and transfers, with an emphasis on profitability analysis.
- Monitor product sell-through and inventory management to mitigate aged inventory.
- Partner with key stakeholders to ensure robust forecasting and variance analysis.
- Provide feedback and challenge performance regularly across financial and operational metrics to influence leaders and offer expert insights.
- Conduct ad hoc analysis and provide financial insights to support business performance.
- Review and improve finance and reporting processes for efficiency.
- Support the Head of Commercial Finance.
What You'll Bring
- Qualified accountant (CPA, ACA, ACCA, or ACMA) with extensive commercial finance experience in operational roles.
- Experience in People Management/Leadership.
- Comprehensive experience with full cycle in commercial finance management.
- Experience in retail or consumer goods sectors, understanding industry challenges and external factors.
- Strong business partnering skills and credibility at senior management levels.
- Deep knowledge of planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Analytical expertise in handling complex data and identifying key issues.
- Ability to communicate financial information effectively to high-level stakeholders and manage meetings proactively.
- Experience in building financial business cases and collaborating with stakeholders.
This role is hybrid. The HQ is located at 40 High Street, Street, Somerset, BA16 0EQ. Flexibility in office attendance can be discussed.
