SEN Teaching Assistant - Early Years Primary School | Kensington

We are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Kensington who are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with special educational needs within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

This is a rewarding role for someone who is passionate about early childhood development and experienced (or keen to develop experience) supporting children with additional needs in a nurturing, structured environment.

The role will include:

Providing 1:1 and small group support for children with SEN in Nursery and/or Reception

Supporting learning through play-based and child-centred activities

Assisting with communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation

Working closely with the class teacher, SENCo, and wider support team

Helping to create a calm, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

The ideal candidate will:

Have experience supporting children with SEN, ideally within EYFS

Be patient, caring, and proactive

Have a good understanding of early childhood development

Be able to build positive relationships with children and staff

Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply)
