INDED We are working with a welcoming primary school in Havering that is seeking a dedicated
Special Needs Teaching Assistant
to support a
KS2 pupil with PMLD . This part-time, long-term role is ideal for someone with a calm, patient and nurturing approach who is experienced in supporting pupils with
complex needs , including
personal care
and
non-verbal communication . Role Overview: Provide one-to-one support for a KS2 pupil with PMLD
Support personal care needs with dignity and sensitivity
Use alternative communication methods to support a non-verbal pupil
Promote engagement, comfort and emotional wellbeing throughout the school day
Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider support team
Maintain a safe, supportive and structured learning environment
About You: Experience supporting pupils with PMLD or complex needs
Comfortable providing personal care
Patient, compassionate and reliable
Able to follow care plans, EHCP targets and guidance from professionals
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
