About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and nurturing primary school in Leeds. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of children with special educational needs, supporting their learning and development in a positive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
• Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
• Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and respected.
• Work closely with the SENCO, teachers, and other support staff to monitor and report on student progress.
• Engage with parents and carers to provide updates on student development and address any concerns.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working in an educational setting, preferably with children with special educational needs.
• A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
