Sous Chef – Dining Pub – 4 day week – Chipping Norton

We currently have a great opportunity for an experienced Sous Chef to be part of a passionate brigade, led by a top chef and passionate owners. The Sous Chef will ensure high standards of efficiency in the running of their given section, delivering amazing quality dishes to a Rosette standard and inputting ideas for the weekly and seasonal menus. You will also deputise for the Head Chef in her absence.

Salary package of £44,000
£34,000 basic + £10,000 in service approx
Working alongside a top chef and established team
4 days on 3 days off.

A independent dining pub in Chipping Norton with 6 guest rooms this stunning venue champions local artisan products and sources the very best fresh, local, seasonal ingredients for their daily-changing, modern British menu with Mediterranean influences and British pub classics on the à la carte menu. The all-day bar menu offers tempting nibbles throughout the day and breakfast, morning coffee and afternoon tea are also available to non-residents.

The Person

The Sous Chef will have:
Experience as a Junior Sous or Sous Chef in a fresh food environment, ideally in a 2 or 3 AA Rosette kitchen
A real passion for food and creating amazing dishes
The confidence to deputise for the Head Chef in their absence, supporting with the efficient running of service.
Dedication, motivation and positive
Flexibility to cover shifts as required.
Happy on Larder, pastry and sauce sections
Passion to deliver outstanding dishes whilst demonstrating good food knowledge.
Ideally live locally or have your own transport.
