Sous Chef required to join our prestigious client, a food led Inn with character, located close to Charing / Ashford in Kent. Please note transport is required due to location.
The ideal candidate for the role of Sous Chef, will have experience of working within Gastro Pubs / fine dining restaurants and using seasonal produce.
As Sous Chef, you will be supporting the Head Chef, who takes pride in fostering a supportive and respectful working environment, where every team member is valued and encouraged to grow and develop their skills.
The Role:
We are seeking a talented and ambitious Sous Chef to join our passionate kitchen team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in a high-quality kitchen who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to contribute to a dynamic and creative team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and present dishes to the highest standards, ensuring consistency and quality
* Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen
* Maintain excellent food hygiene and safety standards at all times
* Contribute ideas and creativity towards menu development
* Work collaboratively to ensure smooth and efficient service
* Assist in training and mentoring junior team members
About You:
* Previous experience as a Sous Chef
* Passionate about high-quality, locally sourced ingredients
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence
* A positive team player with clear communication skills
* Reliable, organised, and able to perform well under pressure
