The Package £45,000 per annum Monday to Friday - 40 hours per week Working hours: 6:30- 3:00pm Term-time style work-life balance - evenings and weekends off Pension scheme & life assurance Access to Healthcare support App Employee Assistance & wellbeing support Training & development opportunities High street discounts & recognition schemes Regular social events & team engagement The Job Role Role of Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in delivering a high-quality, fresh food offering within a busy, high-volume site Oversee daily food preparation and service, ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation Lead and support a team including CDPs and junior chefs, driving standards and development Assist in menu planning and innovation, maintaining a focus on seasonal, fresh ingredients Ensure smooth kitchen operations during peak service periods Maintain excellent health & safety and food hygiene standards Manage stock control, ordering, and waste reduction Support in managing food cost and kitchen budgets

The Requirements Proven experience as a Sous Chef within contract catering, education, or high-volume hospitality Strong fresh food background with a passion for quality ingredients Experience leading and developing kitchen teams Highly organised with the ability to perform under pressure Strong knowledge of food safety and compliance Excellent communication and leadership skills A hands-on approach with a positive, team-driven attitude
