We are looking for experienced Sous Chef for an academy based in Wembley\n\nStart Date: ASAP\n\nHours: Term Time - 35 hours per week paying £19.22 per hour PAYE\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * To be in charge for the cooking of school meals with the direction of Catering Manager.\n\n * To be responsible for weekly stock take and ordering from our dominated suppliers, and report.\n\n * Kitchen cleaning and cleaning of heavy and light equipment used during the day.\n\n * Maintenance of good standard of hygiene in kitchen and follow the HACCP’s policy.\n\n * Assist Catering Manager in training new staff in cooking methods and methods of work in kitchen.\n\n * Assist with the planning, costing of menus and ordering of foodstuff.\n\nKnowledge, Skills & Experience:\n\n * Experience in a similar role within a school or the education sector (desirable).\n\n * Able to contribute to overall school behaviour records and provide feedback.\n\n * Strong communication skills with adults and youths.\n\n * Highly organised and efficient; capable of multi-tasking and working at pace.\n\n * Must be able to meet the physical demands of the role.\n\nQualification Criteria:\n\n * Right to work in the UK.\n\n * GCSE level Math’s and English or equivalent level qualification.\n\n * Relevant Health & Safety and Food Hygiene qualifications desirable.\n\nOther:\n\n * Commitment to equality of opportunity and the safeguarding and welfare of all students.\n\n * This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.\n\nPlease forward updated CV for immediate consideration
