The Fox is a busy, much loved gastro pub in Chipping Norton. With food served seven days a week from breakfast through dinner, we pride ourselves on fresh, seasonal dishes, daily specials, and a welcoming pub atmosphere with a modern twist. We are now looking for a passionate and driven Sous Chef to support the Head Chef and help lead the team forward. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sous Chef or a strong Chef de Partie ready to step up, take ownership, and contribute to a thriving kitchen. What you will be doing • Supporting the Head Chef with day-to-day kitchen operations • Leading shifts and mentoring junior chefs • Contributing ideas for menus and daily specials • Preparing dishes from scratch using seasonal ingredients and local suppliers • Maintaining excellent hygiene and health and safety standards • Running the kitchen during service and staying organised in busy periods What you will need • Previous experience in a professional kitchen in a leadership role • Confidence to run services smoothly and keep the team focused • A real passion for fresh food and creative menus • Calm, positive attitude under pressure • A team-focused mindset • Suitable for a current Sous Chef or an experienced Chef de Partie ready for the next step What's in it for you • Salary from £35,000 to £37,000 depending on experience • Share of tips • Meals on duty • Mix of straight and split shifts • Clear progression and development within a supportive team • Work in a beautiful setting with a team that genuinely loves what they do If you're ready to join a respected kitchen team in one of the Cotswolds' most popular pubs, click apply or send us your CV and we'll be in touch.
