We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join the kitchen leadership team at Sant Ffraed House, a luxury wedding and events venue set within a Grade II listed manor and contemporary event space.
This is a senior kitchen role with real responsibility. Youll support the Head Chef in leading a high-performing brigade, take charge of service in their absence, and uphold consistently high standards across a busy, events-led operation.
This role is suited to an established Sous Chef or Senior CDP who thrives in structured environments, leads confidently under pressure, and takes pride in delivering high-quality food at volume.
The Role Lead the kitchen during prep and service, including full responsibility when covering the Head Chef Maintain food quality, consistency and presentation across weddings and events Coach and develop junior chefs Uphold food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards Support stock control, waste reduction and GP performance Contribute to menu development and continuous improvement About You 5+ years experience in a professional kitchen Experience at Senior CDP, Sous Chef or Head Chef level Confident leading teams during busy services Organised, calm under pressure and standards-driven
