Barclays is looking for a Sourcing Manager – Capital Projects to optimise and address 3rd party spend requirements. The role involves defining, developing and implementing approaches for relevant spend categories, collaborating closely with business partners, and executing strategic sourcing and buying‑channel optimisation.
The position can be based out of Glasgow, Northampton or Knutsford.

Purpose of the Role
To optimise and address Barclays 3rd party spend requirements, including the definition, development and implementation of approaches for relevant spend categories and requirements with close collaboration with the business and execution of strategic sourcing and buying channel development/optimisation.
Accountabilities
Profile spend in category area and develop understanding of business strategy, requirements, cost levers and opportunities. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify sourcing needs, develop requests for proposal and ensure sourcing activities align to the bank’s priorities.
Plan and execute sourcing events including RFP/RFXs, negotiate to best meet business requirements for value, speed, compliance and risk.
Monitor and guide controls and compliance requirements throughout the category and sourcing cycle from request to contract, including regulatory engagement, audits and data quality.
Develop, implement and operate policies and procedures for sourcing activities aligned to policies, standards, relevant compliance and regulation.
Identify and deliver change opportunities to improve effectiveness, control and efficiency of sourcing processes, including buying‑channel optimisation for relevant categories.
Identify industry trends and develop related knowledge by attending conferences, participating in training and conducting market research on techniques and tools.
