Job Title: Duty Solicitor Location: South & Southeast London (Croydon, Wimbledon, Kingston, Sutton) Salary: Circa £50,000 (DOE) Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Hybrid Working: Yes – office base in Sutton with flexible working options Overview: I’m working exclusively with a reputable law firm that has just won a new criminal legal aid contract across South and Southeast London. They’re seeking a proactive Duty Solicitor to take full ownership of this exciting new workstream, offering autonomy, support, and the chance to build a team. The Role: As Duty Solicitor, you’ll cover police stations and courts in Croydon, Wimbledon, Kingston, and Sutton. This role offers a hybrid working setup, with an office base in Sutton. You’ll manage your caseload independently, ensuring compliance with LAA standards, while helping shape the wider department’s growth and development. This is a hands-on position for a confident, organised solicitor who can thrive under pressure and deliver excellent client service across all stages of criminal proceedings. There’s real scope to develop into a leadership role, mentoring junior solicitors and leading a growing team.
