This is an excellent opportunity to work on a varied and high-quality caseload for a diverse client base, within a supportive and award-winning team.The RoleYou will assist partners and senior fee earners in delivering legal advice and representation across a broad range of defendant personal injury matters, including:Defending public liability claimsDefending personal injury claimsDefending employer liability claimsConducting litigation in the County Court and High CourtInvestigating claims and attending site visitsAdvising on liability, quantum and evidenceDrafting statements of case, disclosure lists, witness statements, and instructions to counsel and expertsUndertaking quantum assessments and drafting counter schedules of lossEngaging in settlement negotiations and attending hearingsLiaising with clients, counsel, experts and other stakeholdersAdvising on fixed recoverable costs and assessed costsSupporting senior fee earners on high-value, multi-track and complex litigationEnsuring compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirementsParticipating in business development activitiesCandidate RequirementsThis role is suited to a qualified Solicitor or FCILEX with 2-5 years PQE in defendant personal injury litigation. Ideal candidates will demonstrate:Solid understanding of Pre-Action Protocols, Civil Procedure Rules and litigation processesExperience managing complex caseloads and working under pressureStrong written and verbal communication skillsAnalytical and case management abilitiesAbility to work independently and collaborativelyCommercial awareness and a client-focused approachHigh attention to detail and accuracyProfessional presentation and IT proficiencyWorking ArrangementsThis role is based in the firm's Cardiff office.
