The client delivers varying services, from O&M to full design and system integration.\n\nThis position is field based and we're looking for a Solar Electrician / Technician with a basic salary of up to £50,000 and you'd also receive a hugely impressive benefits package. Large scale / utility scale solar experience is key in achieving the top end of the salary bracket.\n\nIf you're a Solar Technician, Solar Electrician, or Solar Engineer looking to work for a key organisation in the market, then submit your CV to apply today.\n\nThere is genuine training and development with this role too, with internal succession planning and development being absolutely key to their growth.\n\nResponsibilities and Duties of the Solar Electrician / Technician Role\n\nReporting to the Regional Team Leader you will:\n\nPlanned and reactive works across a variety of ground mount solar assets.\n\nTesting and inspecting the electrical systems, tracing faults and rectifying where possible.\n\nLiaising with specialist equipment suppliers to troubleshoot issues on site.\n\nDaily reports on the work carried out on site.\n\nFault finding on both AC and DC systems.\n\nTaking into account all HSE legislation when carrying out any work.\n\nSupervising third-party contractors on site if and when required.\n\nParticipating in an occasional weekend rota, with additional pay as a result.\n\nOccasional working and staying away.\n\nProfessional Qualifications\n\nWe are looking for someone with the following:\n\nUtility scale solar experience or commercial/industrial scale.\n\nLevel 3 electrical qualifications.\n\n2391 test and inspection certification.\n\nHV AP is desirable.\n\nGood working knowledge of key industry instruments and testing equipment.\n\nPersonal Skills\n\nThe Solar Electrician / Technician role would suit someone who is:\n\nGood at fault-finding and has a methodical approach.\n\nStrong understanding of HV and LV power electronics, including transformers and inverters\n\nSalary and Benefits of the Solar Electrician / Technician Role\n\nSalary up to £50,000 depending on experience.\n\nCompany bonus up to 12.5%.\n\nVehicle and fuel card.\n\nPrivate healthcare.\n\nLife insurance worth up to £200,000.\n\nPhone, laptop, and equipment provided.\n\nFlexible working.\n\nAstute People are acting as an employment agency in relation to this vacancy.
