Our client is a global investment manager with a strong heritage in active investment and technology-led innovation. The firm operates across multiple asset classes, including global FX, derivatives, and multi-asset portfolios.
Technology plays a central role in shaping investment decisions, supporting trading execution, and enabling scalable, data-driven investment solutions.
The organisation is seeking a Full Stack Developer to join its Front Office Technology group, contributing to the development of high-quality trading and analytics platforms used across the investment desks.

The Role
As a Full Stack Developer, you will work alongside investment teams, traders, quantitative analysts, and technology specialists to build robust, modern software solutions that enhance the firm’s FX and derivatives execution workflows.
This includes designing front-to-back tools, building real-time data services, and supporting key front office functions such as pricing, execution, and portfolio insights.
The role is ideal for an engineer who is passionate about high‑quality software and enjoys working in close partnership with the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance full-stack applications supporting the firm’s FX, eFX, and derivatives trading activity.
- Design backend services using C#, .NET, SQL, and Python for analytics, automation, and data processing.
- Build trader- and portfolio manager-facing tools, dashboards, and interfaces.
- Implement event-driven patterns and streaming services using Kafka.
- Develop cloud-ready components and services within AWS (preferred) or similar environments.
- Contribute to DevOps processes using Azure DevOps, Git, and Docker for CI/CD and environment management.
- Collaborate closely with Front Office teams to gather requirements and deliver effective, user-centric solutions.
- Ensure system resilience, scalability, and performance across the full application lifecycle.
Required Skills & Experience
- 4–5+ years of proven full stack development experience.
- Advanced proficiency with C# / .NET for backend engineering.
- Strong experience with SQL and database architecture.
- Practical experience using Python for tools, automation, or analysis.
- Understanding of Kafka or comparable streaming/messaging technologies.
- Experience building and deploying within AWS cloud environments.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Git workflows, and Docker containers.
- Background in financial services, ideally within asset management, investment technology, trading, or derivatives.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with investment teams.
Desirable Qualifications
- A PhD or MSc in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related quantitative discipline.
Experience with:
- Front office applications or order/execution workflows
- Market data and real‑time systems
- FX, derivatives, or multi‑asset investment processes
