As our Social Media & Marketing Executive, you’ll be at the heart of how fans experience Bournemouth 7s online. You’ll plan and deliver engaging, on‑brand content, manage our community, and capture the festival’s energy in real time. From building hype in the lead‑up to posting live from the fields, you’ll play a key role in growing our reach and keeping audiences engaged year‑round.
Location
All applicants must be based within the Bournemouth, Poole & Christchurch area.
Social Media Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging social content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and X.
Create pre‑festival hype content (BTS, teasers, countdowns) to drive ticket sales.
Lead social coverage during the festival, capturing real‑time stories, reels and highlights.
Film on‑location video content including interviews, BTS and collaborations with local sports teams.
Grow audiences with platform‑specific strategies aligned to brand goals.
Build and manage a content calendar with the MD around campaigns, partnerships and cultural moments.
Collaborate with the video editor to produce high‑quality, on‑brand content.
Manage daily channel activity, scheduling and platform optimisation.
Identify and manage creators, influencers, ambassadors and ticket reps aligned with the brand.
Track performance metrics to optimise content, engagement and ticket conversions.
Actively engage the community and stay ahead of platform trends.
Digital Marketing Responsibilities
Manage and grow email marketing, including newsletters, segmentation, reporting and optimisation.
Support multi‑channel digital campaigns that drive awareness, engagement and ticket sales.
Develop cost‑effective ideas to drive year‑round growth and retention.
Assist with paid social or digital advertising campaigns (experience helpful but training available).
Coordinate website updates to support campaigns and ensure consistent messaging.
Track digital performance and share insights to inform marketing decisions.
Design Responsibilities
Create visually engaging, on‑brand assets for social, email and web platforms.
Design marketing materials including banners, flyers, signage, tickets and merchandise assets.
Collaborate with the video editor on motion graphics and short‑form video content.
Maintain consistent visual identity across all creative outputs.
Use Canva and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign preferred).
Capability, Knowledge & Experience
Proven experience in social media, content or digital marketing, ideally within sports, festivals or events.
Strong understanding of festival, sports and social culture, with the ability to speak the audience’s language.
Excellent knowledge of key social platforms, algorithms and best practices.
Confident in content planning, analytics and community management.
Be creative and bring new ideas to the table.
Comfortable working with creators, influencers, ambassadors and partners.
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign preferred).
Video editing experience is a bonus.
Highly organised, adaptable and able to thrive independently or as part of a fast‑paced team, especially during live events.
