About the Role
Pertemps are recruiting for a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join a well-established manufacturing workshop on the Isle of Wight. This role requires strong welding and fabrication expertise, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work to tight tolerances across a range of materials and project types.
Key Responsibilities
Perform high-quality TIG and MIG welding on Stainless Steel, Mild Steel, and Aluminium.
Willingness to complete welder qualifications as required.
Carry out full fabrication processes including but not limited too:
Plate and tube preparation
Cutting, grinding, deburring
Drilling, tapping, countersinking
Rolling and general bench work
Read and interpret technical drawings accurately, working consistently to strict tolerances.
Ensure all fabricated components meet required finishes and dimensional accuracy, applying industry techniques to account for distortion, spring-back, and other common fabrication factors.
Work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
Maintain a clean, safe working area and follow all workshop health & safety procedures.
Inspect completed work to ensure precision and consistency prior to third-party quality checks.
