Skilled Machinist – Metal Cutting

Our client, a leading team within the Formula One industry, is seeking an experienced Skilled Machinist with strong metal cutting expertise to join their high-performance manufacturing division.

This is a key role supporting the production of precision components essential for race performance, development, and reliability.

This long-term contract provides the opportunity to work with cutting-edge materials, world-class machinery, and a team renowned for engineering excellence.
Skills & Experience Required
Proven background as a Precision Machinist, CNC Machinist, Grinder, or similar within high-tolerance engineering environments.
Strong knowledge of metal cutting principles, including tool selection, chip formation, speeds/feeds, and machining strategy.
Experience with either grinding operations and / or CNC programming  would be highly desirable).
Ability to work to extremely tight tolerances typically required in motorsport, aerospace, or high-precision manufacturing.
Confident reading engineering drawings.
Familiarity with exotic materials common in F1 (e.g., titanium, Inconel, high-grade steels, aluminium alloys).
Excellent problem-solving ability and a proactive approach to fine-tuning machining processes.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering right-first-time quality.What This Opportunity Offers
