Skilled CNC Machinists

which will be responsible for the manufacture of aerospace components to join on a

12-month

contract.Please note this role is going to be on arotating shift pattern(mornings, afternoon and nights). Your role as a General Machinist will involve working on our various CNC machining platforms producing Discs, Drums and any other commodities we support. As a General Machinist, you will be responsible for delivering against weekly targets to meet customer requirements. You will also work with cross functional teams to implement and sustain improvement activities within our manufacturing environment.

As a Skilled CNC Machinist you will be doing: Work to Rolls-Royces Technical Instructions and program manuals to deliver consistent, high-quality machining across a variety of different components and product families. Operate a variety of Inspection equipment, including machine probing, micrometres, plug gauges. Interpretation of manufacturing drawings, customer drawings and written specifications. Assessment of whether the quality of components produced within the facility meets the required standards.

Who we are looking for: Completed an advanced modern engineering apprenticeship* and an NVQ/SVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent qualification. Siemens control system experience is preferred. Experience in 3 and 5-axis grinding, milling and turning. Previous experience with aerospace components would be an advantage. Clear and demonstrated understanding of drawing interpretation, calibration, dimensional and visual inspection. *Please attach a copy of your certificate as proof of completing a recognised apprenticeship and level 3 together with/next to your CV. Upon successful completion of the training period, additional shift patterns may become available, which include an enhanced shift premium up to £32.47 per hour. This would be reviewed on a case by case basis.
