Civil Engineering Site Manager


RGB Recruitment is currently working with a well-established civil engineering contractor seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Site Manager on a contract basis.


This role will support live projects across Somerset, Gloucestershire, South Wales and Herefordshire, offering a competitive day rate and the opportunity to work on long-term, well-structured schemes.


The Role

As a Civil Engineering Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of site activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the required quality standards. Projects may include highways, infrastructure, earthworks, drainage, and associated civils works.


Key Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day management of site operations and subcontractors
  • Ensuring works are delivered in line with programme and specifications
  • Maintaining high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance
  • Liaising with project managers, engineers, clients and the supply chain
  • Managing RAMS, permits, site records and quality documentation
  • Coordinating plant, materials and labour


Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Civil Engineering Site Manager
  • Background in civils / infrastructure projects
  • SMSTS and CSCS (First Aid desirable)
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple site activities and priorities
